This impressive Bald Eagle was strutting around like the Commander in chief, giving orders to everyone on the banks of Farmington Bay. The Bald Eagle has been the national emblem of the United States since 1782 and a spiritual symbol for native people for far longer than that.
I was setting up to capture the sun setting behind Hallett Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park when this magnificent Bull Elk emerged from the forest with his harem of cows. He hung out with me for about 30 minutes, then disappeared back into the forest.
